‘Change has come to America,’ first African-American leader tells country
Barack Obama, a 47-year-old first-term senator from Illinois, shattered more than 200 years of history ~ by election as the first African-American President of the United States.
It was during the Oath of Office. There was a miscue between Supreme Court Justice John Roberts and the president-elect. Words got fumbled, there was an awkward pause, and the two men talked on top of each other. Who botched the Oath of Office – Obama or Justice Roberts?
UPDATE: President Obama retakes the oath of office - w/o Bible.
["can't win for losing"]
CONGRATULATIONS, Mr. President!
What Will the Next President Face?
