"FREE" Goverment Money?

FYI FOR YOUR INFORMATION
We have all seen them, late night infomercials, websites, and reference guides, advertising "millions in free money" Don't believe the hype! Although there are many grants on Grants.gov, few of them are available to individuals and none of them are available for personal financial assistance.

Most "hype" grants are software and services for submitting applications, and will charge you what appears to be nominal fee of a few bucks. BUT ... it also contracts you to monthly fees of $30, $40, $60 if not cancelled. READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ANY FREE PROGRAM BEFORE YOU COMMIT!

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR A GRANT?
ATTENTION! The government (Grants.gov) does not offer money for personal financial assistance or debt.

What you need to understand is that government grants are not just free cash available for anyone to take it. It is actually government financial aid meant to help those in need or those who have made special merits to deserve it. The one judging these criterions is the government agency and thus, it is smart to contact the agency prior to applying in order to see what the requirements for approval are and how you can increase your chances of obtaining the government grant.
