America Bows Down to Saudi King

Is Obama bowing ... kissing or looking at the king's ring ... or stooping down to pick up a gold coin that the king or his aide cleverly dropped? The Video indicates he is bowing. What do you think?

Have WE forgotten? We, the people, fought a revolutionary war to separate ourselves from bowing down to monarchs and nobility and their dictates. The President, nor any citizen of the United States of America, should have to bow to anyone. Civil greeting and acknowledgment: Yes. Bowing: NO! Are we retrogressing? Do we want our heads cut off.

Bowing originated as a gesture of subordination, as lowering the head leaves the bower vulnerable. This was particularly the case in Asian cultures such as that of samurai Japan. [it presented the nobility opportunity to sever the head of the humbled submissive.]

Bowing to other human beings is frowned upon in Muslim cultures as all human beings are considered equal and bowing is only supposed to be done to God in Islam. Similarly, in Judaism the second of the Ten Commandments is generally interpreted to forbid bowing before anyone but God. SOURCE...
